With the New Year coming in hot, I can’t help but think
about the past year. Not only did I start A Wildflower Life, but I also grew
deeper in love with my dream of becoming a stylist. The support from my readers
has been overwhelming, and I hope continues to be so. For 2014, I wish for A
Wildflower Life to continue to grow not only by the number of views it receives
but by the number of people it inspires to embark on their own journey toward
achieving their dreams.
Of course, I have made a resolution. My resolution for this
year is to allow myself to grow, to blossom into an independent adult. I want
to buy groceries instead of prepared food (which is the hardest thing in the
world for me to do). I’d like to keep growing as a friend who understands,
realizing that even though our lives are changing rapidly, my friends and I are
still only a phone call away. I need to continue to grow my thirst for
knowledge. Though a semester often feels like a millennium, I mustn’t forget
that each one brings me a semester closer to becoming a stylist. But to
flourish in 2014, to achieve these things, I must first eliminate others that
stunt my growth – the negative thoughts, attitudes, and yes, people that
restrict my potential must go. Why shrink myself with things that will not
matter in five years when I can grow upward now through things that will feed
my growth for the rest of my life? Happiness is a choice, and this year it is
mine.
Thank you to everyone who continues to inspire me to grow
into the person I am becoming. Happy New Year, errbody.
peace & blessings
