LDN.

*deep exhale* made it through my first week of school without having my books or life together. Over Christmas break I went on a vacation of a lifetime with my bestie Kirsi. Ten days before school started we made our way across the ocean to London and Paris.

After lugging our suitcase across Paris through tunnels, crowds of people, and upstairs of the metro, we missed the train to London. The train staff taking pity on us Americans gave us tickets for the next train, thank goodness. Once in London we met up with my friend studying abroad this semester, ate dinner and chatted at a cute little pub. The next morning we went to the Victorian and Albert museum. There we saw a really cool exhibit called Shoes: Pleasure and Pain. We weren’t allowed to take any pictures, which was very unfortunate, but being the rebel that I am I snuck one of the millions of shoeboxes that was set up around the displays. After we went to the Tower Bridge and had lunch at Eat (I swear that’s what it’s really called). That night we had English food for dinner, which I had never had before, it wasn’t exactly my food of choice but I managed. Kirsi always persistent on me trying foreign food that looks questionable. Our last day in London we went and saw Kensington Palace, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, and the National Gallery. Unfortunately we missed the changing of the guard at Kensington Palace but Kirsi promised we’d watch it on YouTube one day. Trafalgar square was especially cool because they have a large center column called Nelson’s Column, get it because that's my last name *insert sunglass emoji here*. At the National Gallery we had afternoon tea, which was one of my favorite activities that we did while in London. I felt so British I started to talk with an accent, lolz. After we caught our train back to Paris and continued on our adventure. Paris adventure details coming soon.

Wishing you selfies that get lots of likes and shoes that don't hurt your feet.
