a little blogging community: the wandering soul.

If you take just a second to look at Anna's blog The Wandering Soul you will understand why I was so amazed. This girls writing ability along with her photography skills will make anyone jealous. Please take some time to read her Q&A's then head over to her blog and show her some love!

How did you come up with the title of your blog?
I transferred from Savannah College of Art and Design last year to the University of Kentucky, and the transition was incredibly difficult for me the first year. I was talking to my mom on the phone one day about how I was very confused and I couldn’t decide where I wanted to be, and she said that I was just a “wandering soul” like her. I had been thinking of starting a new blog as a much-needed creative outlet, and when she said that I knew immediately that I had found my title and the theme of my blog.

When is your blog’s birthday?
January 8, 2014 :)

What content do you publish on your blog?
I don’t really have a set type of content that I stick to, honestly. I really just post about whatever inspires me, whether that be a new piece of clothing, a new place I’ve traveled or even just a thought I’ve had that I’d like to share.

What is your absolute favorite post that you have published? Why?
My favorite post that I’ve published is one about a little store near my parents’ house. I’ve been visiting that store since I was a little girl and I knew when I started my blog that I had to do a post on it.  Although the post itself turned out more wonderfully than I could have ever imagined, it was really the experience of creating it that I loved the most. Talking to the owner and exploring her sweet, quiet store was such a unique and touching experience, and when I sat down to write it I actually cried a little bit because I had become so emotionally involved.

What inspired you to start your blog?
I originally started a blog right before I went to college simply because I loved fashion and photography. I kind of forgot about it and quit keeping up with it, but when I switched colleges I was in desperate need of a creative outlet, and I also felt like I needed something to put on my resume for potential employers. It took me a while to really commit to creating a new one because I’m such a perfectionist, but at one point I thought I was going to go crazy if I didn’t find some way to be creative so I sat down and made it happen.

If people look at your blog what is one thing you want them to gain from it?
It sounds so cliché, but I truly just want people to be inspired. I hope that they enjoy the time they spend looking at it and reading it, and I hope that from my ideas they feel so inspired that they come up with their own.

What is your current life situation? (School, work, dreams, aspirations, etc.)

I’m currently a junior at the University of Kentucky studying Merchandising, Apparel and Textiles with a minor in Art Studio. I work at a vintage store called Street Scene which I LOVE, and I am also an intern for CollegeFashionista, which is basically the greatest internship to ever exist (I’m kind of obsessed). To be honest, I don’t know exactly what I want to do with my life at this point. I know that I want to work in fashion and hopefully be able to write, but I’m content to just see where my passion takes me.

What is your favorite blog (besides your own) that you read regularly?
Oh gosh, this is a hard one… The ManRepeller is probably the one I actually read most regularly, because she is an absolute genius in my opinion. My favorite blog to look at has to be Making Magique though, because the girl who created it lives in Paris and her life is an absolute dream.

 Tips for other bloggers.
Be passionate, and blog about what you love. I don’t have a huge following, and I don’t particularly care about having one—I just make sure to put my heart and soul into every post. A blog should first and foremost mean something to YOU—if you’re genuine and you show that you really care about what you’re blogging, the readers will come.

What social media platforms can people connect to your blog on?
I don’t have any social media accounts created specifically to my blog, but I post links on my personal:
and sometimes Instagram.
